Ike. Was abandoned during Hurricane Ike a few years ago. Lived homeless along Interstate 20 for two years. My wife saw him often and wished she could have him. Animal Control was called but they could not catch him. Whatever luck he still had ran out one day and he was hit by a vehicle, displacing his hip. Coca-Cola truck driver picked him up off the side of the highway and took him to a local vet. Person who worked part-time at vet also worked for Animal Control. Called my wife. We adopted him immediately. Was already neutered and house-trained. Gets along well with the cats too. My best friend.
